Zella Rease Obituary

Zella M. Rease, 87, of North Bradley, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2005, and is home at last.

She was born on Jan. 24, 1918, in North Bradley, the daughter of Martin and Olive (Griswold) Haller. Zella M. Haller married Lewis L. Rease on June 21, 1936, in North Bradley. She was a member of the North Bradley Church of God, where she was always active and taught Sunday School for several years.

Zella is survived by her children, Lansing Rease of North Bradley, Martin and Marilyn Rease of North Bradley, Nancy and Paul Fox of North Bradley, Carol and Randall Mead of St. Louis and Deborah and Joe Horn of North Bradley; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchilden; and her brothers, Ronald and Winnie Haller of Coleman and Richard and Shirley Haller of Coleman. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Rebecca Thorson; her grandson, Cary Fox; her brother, Dexter Haller; and her sister, Ruth Harshman Nash.

Funeral and Committal Services will be held Sunday, March 13, 2005, 2 p.m. at the North Bradley Church of God. The Rev. Randall Mead and the Rev. Ray Warner will officiate. Burial will take place in the Geneva Township Cemetery, North Bradley.

Friends may call at the O'Laughlin Funeral Home, Inc. today from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and at the church on Sunday at 1 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the North Bradley Church of God.

To Zella's family - I'm in Florida but am usually in Midland. I worked with Becky and had met your Mom many times. It wasn't that long ago that I saw her Letter to the Editor. My deepest condolences. I lost my husband in October and know how hard it is to lose a loved one.
