Kurt Anderson Obituary

Owatonna and Medina Minnesota - Kurt Arden Anderson, 74, of Owatonna, Minnesota, passed away peacefully after a long illness on September 4, 2025.

Born on March 26, 1951, in Owatonna, Minnesota. Kurt was the son of Irving "Bud" and Deloris Anderson. He graduated from Owatonna High School and was an active member of the Boy Scouts, proudly earning the rank of Eagle Scout with Troop 246. Kurt continued his education at the University of Minnesota, where he studied Anthropology. He shared a lifelong passion for antiques and collectibles with his parents, with a particular focus on memorabilia from their hometown of Owatonna. Together, they spent many years collecting, selling, and preserving items of historical significance. Kurt was also a long-time member of the Twin City Postcard Club. Kurt was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a close-knit group of friends who provided care and support during his final years. He will be remembered for his gentle spirit, quiet curiosity, and his deep appreciation for the history of his community.

There will be a private interment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Owatonna. Memorials in Kurt's name may be made to the Owatonna Public Library Foundation or the Steele County Historical Society.
