Mary spent much of life on skates - at the family's roller rink in her youth, as a competitive figure skater growing up, and rollerblading all over Chicago as an adult. She loved music, restaurants, and her beloved dog, Manny. Mary was an avid traveler. She and her husband Josh visited many places around the world, including a Galapagos Islands honeymoon, a subarctic polar bear expedition, a gorilla trek in Rwanda, and many other trips to interesting destinations in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Americas, Hawaii, and many more. She loved seeing wildlife, experiencing different cultures, and sharing her experiences with others.
Mary was a beautiful and amazing human being. She was smart, tenacious, adventurous, fun loving, and kind. She deeply loved her husband and cared enormously about her contributions to the world and the people in her life. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
