Seeing Nancy´s smiling face makes me smile having known her and all she accomplished. To me her legacy to Larkspur, through countless hours of work, is putting Downtown Larkspur on the National Register of Historic Places and also as one of the writers of our history books. Dedicated and caring. Rest in peace.

Mrs. Curley was very special and this memory is someone embarrassing to share but it gives insight to who she was for me:
Kent and I were youngsters and we were playing in front of their house in the canyon in Larkspur. I guess I was playing too hard that day because I had a sudden urge to go and subsequent incontinence problem and went running for the door. By the time I got to their bathroom it was too late and I had an issue with #2
Mrs Curley very calmly came to the bathroom door and asked if I was okay and I was kind of freaking out cuz I was too old for this to be happening...
I told her about my dilemma and she very calmly got me what I needed to get cleaned up and then allowed me to borrow a pair of underpants and pants so I could get home.
What could have and should have been a very embarrassing situation was made okay with her calm demeanor and patience and I will forever remember that situation and be grateful to Mrs Curley!
Furthermore she obviously raised her children right because they didn't even tease me that much. Lol
Much love and condolences to Craig and Kent and entire family!

This makes me so sad! Nancy was a wonderful woman, only one last Curley alive... being my mom at 98. Or should I say from that generation. They saw so much which formed all of the Curley´s into great Americans! My heart goes out to the Nancy and Charlie family. Cherish your memories. It´s all we have!
