Mrs. Potts;
Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of your husband and my very good friend.
There are some people who by their presence and conduct influence events and organizations more than those who talk and write. Their life is their message, and their actions inspire all who know them. Tony Potts was one of these remarkable people.
The Acquisition Community has profited from his wisdom, humor, leadership, and combat focus - but most of all from his unshakeable ethical values. And so, from all of us who benefitted from knowing and working with Tony, we are forever grateful for the man and his legacy, which will continue to influence this nation.
We will continue to live by his values and integrity and those of the American military men and women he led. We have learned from him and have done our best to live up to the high standards he set for a nation in a historical time of need. We will honor Tony Potts by working quietly....as a team...and when one job is complete, like Tony, we will move on to the next job in a professional and dedicated manner - never expecting recognition.
And so it is with great sadness that we who have known and worked with Tony, say goodbye, and pray for his family in this very tragic time.
With very best regards and admiration for a life so well led.

Mrs. Potts,
I am so sorry for your loss. I met him at the 2005 Apache MOC Conference when he found out he made Colonel. He bought a keg and pizza for all of us. He was so happy. Being a Navy Vet I knew how rewarding being promoted can be. It was my first year supporting Army Aviation and this trip to Orlando seeing him so happy and the war going on made me continue to support the Warfighters.
I found this video just a few days after he passed, and I was at AAAA this year but didn't get to see Luke Bryan ( Big Fan) nor get to see the Major General (bigger fan) one last time. Anything I can do for you here at Redstone Huntsville please let me know.
God Bless you and your family.

You have seen this I bet but I have shown it to several of our brother in arms that served with him.
