Claudette Litchfield, 90, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, April 6, 2025.
Born on Aug. 19, 1934, in Paducah, Claudette was renowned for her warmth and generosity within her community.
Devoting her life to the values of family and faith, Claudette's home was always filled with love and laughter. She diligently served as a housewife, nurturing her family with unwavering dedication and care. Her commitment to community was evident through her active membership at the Oaks Church of God and her participation with the Women of Oaks, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed wholeheartedly to her congregation's activities.
Claudette is survived by her son, Vincent Litchfield of Paducah; four grandchildren, Michael Litchfield, Tammy Arnett (Shane), Karen Litchfield and Susan Lofton (Stewart) all of Paducah; two great-granddaughters, Kenzie Lofton and Amelia Arnett both of Paducah; a great-great-grand dog, Hank; two sisters, Saundra Ellis and Bonnie Fiser (John) all of Paducah; a brother, W.L. Lawrence of Mooresville, Indiana; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buddy Litchfield; a son, Lawrence Litchfield; a granddaughter, April Litchfield; a great-granddaughter, Samantha Arnett; two sisters, Velma Kaufman and Joyce Lawrence; three brothers, Cecil Lawrence, James Lawrence, and R.B. Lawrence. Her parents were Claud and Rosette Thomasson Lawrence.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Richard Dobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Clarks River Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
In Lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Oaks Church of God, 4830 Oaks Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
