Clement Hinkebein Obituary

BENTON - Clement "Clem" Andrew Hinkebein, 72, of Benton, died surrounded by loved ones on Oct. 18, 2025, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.

He always had a passion as a sheet metal worker and opened his own business, Industrial Sheet Metal, in 1987. He sold the business to enjoy retirement in 2016.

He was a faithful member of St. Pius the Tenth Catholic Church for over 40 years.

He had many hobbies, which included riding motorcycles and side-by-sides on his many trails, watching NASCAR races, camping, and just moving dirt or knocking down trees on his equipment.

Clem is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda "Kaye"; three daughters, Angie Mason, Julie Risley, and Christine Thornton, all of Benton; eight grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Carol Ann Phelp and Mary Jo Herzog; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis John and Dorthy Frances (Jansen) Hinkebein; his stepmother, Louise (Houser) Hinkebein; brother, Charlie Hinkebein; and brothers-in-law Herb Conkright and Herbie Herzog.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Calvert City, with Brian Johnson officiating.

Burial will follow at Marshall County Memory Gardens.
