Gail Kathryn Cvengros

1959 - 2024

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Gail Kathryn Cvengros, 64, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024, at her home in Nashville.

Gail was born on Sept. 20, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to Patrick and Patricia Cvengros. She was a 1977 Graduate of St. Mary High School in Paducah, Kentucky, and a 1981 graduate of the University of Kentucky. Gail was a licensed optician and retired from the Nashville VA Medical Center in 2023.

Gail loved her family deeply, was faithfully devoted to her friends, and took profound joy in spoiling her late dog, Mitzi. She lived life to the fullest and never missed a chance to have a daily chat with old and new friends and family on the phone or visit with dear friends in her neighborhood. She loved spending time with her siblings, nieces and nephews and got immense joy out of spending time with all of her great nieces and nephews. Gail had an uncanny way of making people laugh and always enjoyed lovingly poking fun at her siblings.

Gail was preceded in death by her dearest friend and mother, Patricia Cvengros, her father, Patrick Cvengros, and her loving and loyal dog of 18 years, Mitzi.

Gail is survived by her siblings, Paula Hanson (Skip), Scott Cvengros (Randy), Brad Cvengros (Tammie); with eight nieces and nephews; Ashley Nowlin (Luke), Jessica Louviere (JT), Whitney Kirk (Ken), Blake Cvengros (Emily), Eric Hanson, Brandon Cvengros (Rachel), Amanda Finch (Braeden), Banning Cvengros; 13 great-nieces and nephews and many close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the service time of 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the funeral home.
