Herman Ford Obituary
BENTON - Herman Ford, 88, of Benton, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2025, at Murray-Calloway County Hospital in Murray, Kentucky.
He was a lifelong resident of Marshall County, served as jailer from 1969-1998, and he was a longtime member of Walnut Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his four sisters and seven brothers. His parents were George Randolph Ford and Rubie Adella Young Ford.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Wells of Trenton, Tennessee; his son, Roger Ford of Benton; seven grandchildren; 21great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations can be made to the Marshall County Exceptional Center, 198 Old Symsonia Road, Benton, KY 42025, or to Marcella's Kitchen, 868 Guy Mathis Dr, Benton, KY 42025.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann, 1003 Poplar Street, Benton, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Life Celebration Center of Filbeck-Cann with Joel Frizzell officiating. Burial will follow at Benton Cemetery.
