Ruby Marie Lynn, 95, of Paducah, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2024, at her residence.
Ruby was the longest-standing member of Bellview Baptist Church, where she served in many areas for 75 years. She loved to read her bible and was a faithful Christian woman who loved the Lord with all of her heart. Ruby was a big University of Kentucky basketball fan. Her family, church, and faith were the most important things in her life.
Ruby is survived by her son, Allen (Carol) Lynn of Paducah; her daughter, Susan (Terry) Dietz of Paducah; eight grandchildren, Casey (Monica) Lynn, Amy (Shane) McIntosh, Steven (Megan) Zeiss, Dillon (Lauren) Lynn, Lauren (Tyler) Parker, Drew (Amber) Dietz, Grayson Dietz, and Chandler Dietz; nine great-grandchildren, Briley Lynn, Whittley Adams, Anna Lynn, Hayden Lynn, Presley Parker, Berkley Parker, Nora Zeiss, Camden Zeiss, and Henry Dietz; a brother, Don (Stella) Jackson of Midlothian, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Kenneth "Jeep" Lynn; her father, Amos Gipson; her mother, Thelma Gipson Jackson; her stepfather, Elvin Jackson; and her brother, Glenn Hollis Gipson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Whitter officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Kenton Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the service hour of 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of contributions to Bellview Baptist Church, 4875 Old Mayfield Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
