Milan Ristich Obituary
Milan was born in California on November 7, 1946, to his loving parents, Venco Ristich and Mildred Smetko Bucy. When he was a young child, the family moved to Watsonville, where he grew up and remained until his passing.
After graduating from Mora Central High School, he went on to work at New West Foods. Milan was a hardworking man and was promoted to Plant Manager, a position he would hold for the rest of his career. He continued as a Plant Manager at Cal Pacific until his well-earned retirement a few years ago.
Milan was a dedicated and loving father, a proud grandfather, a genuine and generous friend, and a caring neighbor who sincerely cared about his entire community. He had a love for history, a passion for fitness, and enjoyed many hobbies. He bowled in a league at Cabrillo Lanes for many years, loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, and most of all loved fishing, spending as much time as possible enjoying this sport throughout his life.
Milan is survived by his loving daughter, Sarah Ristich; his beloved granddaughter, Tiana Jones; his stepchildren, Jeff Dearman, and Sandra Herbst, all of whom he loved dearly. He was predeceased by his parents, Venco and Mildred; and his siblings, Danila Ristich Janzen and Richard Sorich.
Milan's kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will always be remembered. He was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Corralitos Community Center, 35 Browns Valley Road in Watsonville.
Milan regularly contributed to various organizations. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any of the following organizations: Shriners Children's, Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish Foundation, March of Dimes, and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mehl's Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.

My husband has been his neighbor for many years and he took care of our house and packages while we were away and did the same for him. We had complete trust and faith in him and am sad to no longer have him as our neighbor. He had a beautiful garden which he always shared his harvests with us. RIP Milan. You are irreplaceable
