Ronald Benich Obituary

Ronald P. Benich died at his home on March 10 after a lengthy battle with an illness. He was 74 years old.

Mr. Benich was born in Watsonville to Fred and Rosemary Benich. He attended Moreland Notre Dame School, Mora Central High School and the University of San Francisco. He was an avid baseball fan and thoroughly enjoyed playing softball and coaching his nephews in the local little league and PONY league.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the J.J. Crosetti Company and the U.S. Postal Service.

Mr. Benich is survived by his wife of 42 years, Suzi, sister-in-law Marsha Benich, nephews Ron (Kellie) and Donnie Benich and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his two younger brothers, Harry and Fred.

The family sends a heartfelt thank you to his dedicated caregiver, Maria, and to Hospice of Santa Cruz County.

Mehl's Colonial Chapel has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.

A family celebration of life is being planned for a future date.

I worked with Ron for many years at the Post Office. He was a real nice man who loved baseball and coaching his nephews. RIP Ron.
