Alex Pennington Obituary
Richmond - Alex Gregory Pennington 71, of Richmond, Indiana passed away on November 30, 2020. He was born July 15, 1949 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Alexander and Constance Pennington.
Alex was a father, grandfather, great grandfather and a great friend to all. He never knew a stranger. He loved being surrounded by family, friends and his kitchen creations. Alex retired from Belden Wire and Cable after 25 years of service. He sold used cars for years and enjoyed meeting new people.
He leaves to cherish his memory his children Nicole Pennington of Louisville, KY., Kimberly Snowden of Richmond, Yvonne Pennington of Louisville, Ky. and Shay Pennington of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren Joel and Jayda Carr of Louisville, KY., Dominique Hampton and Symone Perkins of Richmond, Indiana, Lexus Perkins of Indianapolis, Indiana, Crishaun and Jaylen Hailey of Dayton, Ohio; niece Maria Pennington, nephew Brian Pennington; his companion Peggy Layne and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Phillip Pennington.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday December 12, 2020 at 2pm at Bethesda Worship Center 2200 Peacock Road, Richmond, Indiana 47374, mask are required as well as social distancing.

I have known Alex for most of my life and was a great friend. He was a very outgoing man and knew no strangers, everyone liked Alex. He was an easy person to like, always concerned about how you were doing, as well as a very good listener. I will miss him and the friendship we had. I will try to comfort my sister for her loss, but as we all know, his shoes will remain empty here on Earth; but full in Heaven

I had the pleasure of working in the department next to Alex at Belden many years ago.

Big Al was a great person he loved his girls that’s all he talked about when I worked with him at Belden he will be missed
