Harold E Sharp

Modoc - Harold E "Ed" Sharp, 82, Modoc, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Reid Health and Hospital of Richmond, IN. He was born August, 4, 1938 in Richmond, IN the son of Earl and Lulu (Hiatt) Sharp. He honorably served in the US Army.

Harold retired in 2003 after 34 years as a Supervisor with Union City Body Company. He enjoyed spending his leisure time bowling, camping, golfing and listening to Bluegrass music. He was a member of the American Legion Post #158 in Union City, IN. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife, Lavonne; two sons, Jay and Donald Sharp, both of Lynn, IN; a daughter, Deelena Mackey of Lynn, IN; a sister, Betty LoPresti of Florida; seven grandchildren, Brandy (Daniel), April (Timothy), Jason, Matthew, Aaron, Haley (Christopher) and LeAnne (Shane); and eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Bob, John, Gerald and Jim; a sister, Norma; and a son-in-law, Rick Mackey.

A graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Spartanburg Cemetery of Spartanburg, IN. Mask and social distancing are requested. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Honor Guard, 409 W. Pearl St., Union City, IN 47390. Wilson Shook Funeral Home, Thomas Memorial Chapel of Lynn, IN has been entrusted with arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wilsonshookfh.com.
