I always enjoyed talking to grandma on phone, since I lived so far away. She would call me, if too much time went by between our phone calls. I often got advice from her on several different issues that occurred in my life over the many years, even well before I became a grown man. She always would say that she missed me, and she loved me, and all of my brothers and sisters too, even if we did not make it to Indiana to visit her often. She also told me to continue to be strong. I had to find my own identity in life, because after my father passed away, I had a hard time for many years getting through that. She helped me mentally along the way. I became a leader in my life for the working people, and she told me that she was very proud of me for that. I wish I had many more visits with her, but the ones I had were very good memorable ones. I will always remember and miss her Aaron McCown

Nan, your life has impacted us forever. Your sweet spirit & gentle loving essence was contagious, and will live on in us as reminders of what a special light you were in this world. You were the embodiment of grace, kindness, goodness & love. You lived a long wonderful life, and everyone who knew you, loved you and you loved in return. I love you more then I could ever articulate, and your physical presence in our lives will be missed something fierce. Even though this heartbreak is almost unbearable, I am so very grateful you were my Grandma & our bond was like none other. I love you with all my soul Nan. ♥ You're gone, but you are everywhere.
