Almeda Champion Obituary
Almeda Lois Champion, 88, passed away peacefully at home in Seville Sunday evening, October 26, 2025, after an extended illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Champion, in 2011. Also, her siblings, Charles Shewell and Eileen Winterborne.
Almeda is survived by her children, Greg (Stephanie) Champion and Linda (Rick) Angle; and her grandchildren, Jeremy Champion, Jessica Champion Veelik, and Jonathan Angle; and Almeda's great-granddaughters, Melanie Veelik and Merissa Veelik
Almeda was an independent passionate person who was very creative. She loved art, animals, and interior design. She pursued her passion by attending college for interior design.
She had a deep love for animals, particularly dogs and horses. Later in life she rescued chihuahuas.
Almeda's remains will be interred in Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside California.
Local arrangements are handled through Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home in Crescent City.

So sorry for your loss Greg and Linda. Even though we lost touch with her awhile back she will be missed and remembered as a wonderful aunt and artist.
