Charles Gallagher Obituary
Charles Norman Gallagher II, 77, of San Mateo passed from this life on Saturday, October 18, 2025, following an extended illness.
A native of Mt. Vernon, Ohio, he had been a resident of San Mateo since 1991, coming from Summerville, Ohio. Charles was known as an extremely hard worker and was employed for many years at Trailco prior to his retirement.
He loved being on the water enjoying time spent boating, skiing, and fishing. Charles was a member of the First Church of God in Palatka where he loved serving.
He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Gallagher; parents, Charles N. Gallagher Sr. and Mary Ann Gallagher; and a sister, Sharon Booth.
Charles is survived by his son, Charles N. Gallagher III (Tammy); his daughter, Amy Caramagna (Donnie Hersey); a sister, Pat Jagger (Paul); two brothers-in-law, John Booth and Richard DeLong (Karen); five grandchildren, Dylan Hale, Dayton Johnson, Dayven Caramagna, Alexis Zehler, and Tyler Gallagher; three great-grandchildren, Warren, Sawyer, and Jensen Zehler; as well as many other extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at First Church of God, 2915 St. Johns Ave, Palatka, FL 32177 with Pastor Trevor Belcher officiating.
