Cynthia Gibbons
Cynthia Hungerford Gibbons, died peacefully at home in New York on January 16, 2021. Beloved wife of Mike, mother of Jenny, Jeff, Mike and Laura, mother-in-law of Tim Popp and Jorge Romero, grandmother of Kate, Sophie, Caroline and Olivia. Cynthia was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Bette Jane and Teen. Cynthia was happiest among her extended family which includes many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her life was filled with creativity, love, friendships and joy. She was a gifted and talented painter who had a distinguished career as a curator and art consultant. Cynthia enjoyed membership in The First Church of Christian Science, Mayflower Society, Colonial Dames, The Four Arts, National Croquet Center, Sedgewood Club, Everglades Club and the Bath and Tennis Club. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. There will be a Zoom Celebration of her life 4PM Saturday, January 30--contact Mike Gibbons for the Zoom Link.

I am so sorry to learn of Cynthia´s passing. She was often in my thoughts and I was sorry we lost touch over the years. Cynthia was so talented in many ways and so much fun to be with. I know how much she is missed...

Cynthia was a wonderful friend. Our parents were BEST friends and we loved that!! She had such talent and her smile filled a room. She is missed by so many, especially me!

I am so sorry to receive this news. GI was in the class '57 and last saw Cynthia at our 50th MI Class Reunion in 2007 in St. Louis. I have fond memories of those days. I send my sympathy to her husband, her children, and all in her family.
