Adam Mitchell Obituary

Family-Placed Obituary

ADAM BLAKEMORE MITCHELL August 11, 1984 - October 30, 2010 Born in Jackson, TN, Adam Mitchell spent a lifetime as an adored "kid" brother to Karlyn Mitchell Pearce, Elizabeth Kendall, Kimberly Mitchell, Paul Mitchell, Mary Beth "Muffy" Johnson, and Rich Ledbetter. He was a generous nephew to Suzanne and Bradley Gurshin and great-nephew to Louise Waller. Adam became a treasured brother-in-law to Doug Pearce, Dean Kendall, Don Jacobson, Kimberley Mitchell, Todd Johnson, and Julie Ledbetter. His happiest moments were as the ideal Uncle to Trevor Pearce, Jennifer and Tori Kendall, Zoe and Harley Jacobson, Chase, Bennett and Spencer Mitchell, Blakely, Clark and Lily Johnson, and RJ, Henry and Jane Ledbetter. Adam will forever be the loving son of Dr. Edgar and Sheilah Mitchell. A magna cum laude graduate of The Film School at Florida State University, with a degree from their prestigious College of Motion Picture Arts, Adam's directing professor Chip Chalmers said, "Adam's was the biggest heart to walk on that graduation stage. Dependable, courageous, undaunted, loving, loved and respected was our friend and teammate." In addition to a successful career in Los Angeles in the film and talent management industries, Adam consulted with and produced special projects related to his father's lifetime of achievement, including production of To the Moon and Back I and II and The View from Space - A Message of Peace with his mother. Dr. Edgar Mitchell was the sixth person to walk on the Moon as lunar module pilot for Apollo 14. Adam was an avid karaoke singer, performing at karaoke clubs throughout the local community and in California when he worked there. His greatest legacy is the love that he shared with his friends and family, without judgment and in its purest form. Adam's life will be celebrated on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach at 2:00 P.M. Oh my darling Adam I miss you. But I can just imagine you flying through space with your father! You would both be so happy to see the progress we are making toward exploring the universe. I am sure that in your spirit body, you two angels are exploring together some magnificent things. Rest in peace for a small amount of time and then start flying! I will see you in the next life my sweet. You are so precious and you will always be precious. I love you both more than I can ever say.

Oh dear one! Are you flying through space with your father exploring the universe? I know that you were overjoyed to see each other again. You were always his favorite and the apple of his eye. I miss your lovely warm and gentle spirit. But angels don´t stay on the earth too long. I love you both with all my heart and think of you with so much joy. I am in the great and mystical land of Egypt. I will see you both soon

Adam, I know you and Ed are together in heaven or maybe you are exploring the universe together. We are so sad here on the earth to miss you every year and always. I think of you often and that sweet angelic smile and big hug you gave me the last time I saw you and you held onto me for just a second more and suddenly I felt tears in my heart and I felt it might be the last time I would see you and sure enough it was. It wasn’t long until we lost your beloved father as well. I hope you are both at peace which I know you are and I often wonder what you would have become heard you had a chance because you had so much talent and intelligence like your father. We will miss you forever and we will think of you often

Adam, I know you are there with Ed maybe exploring space together? You left us all to assume you had so much light to shine on this world, but sometimes angels are needed in other areas. We are so fortunate that you were on the earth. We miss you very very much. Your loving grace was such a bright shining star. We will always love you

I knew Adam from when were kids in grade school. I was trying to reconnect with him when I found out about the news. I have fond memories of running around the neighborhood and talking about space and firetrucks. (we were 10!) My thoughts and prayers will be with your family during the holidays. Much love - Jonathan

Adam was an incredibly bright individual. Honest, courageous, cordial, respectful, open, and loving. He dreamed big and sang shamelessly...and he did it with joy ...and was a joy to watch...and to listen to...every story detailed...every friend accounted for...Although our friendship has been cut short, I did learn from him...and I must say...he will be missed...

Onward and upward friend...

Adam was a fine young man who respected and treasured his father. He was responsible and caring, a son no father could not help but like, love, and be exceptionally grateful for. We all will miss him.

Adam,

I knew you for a time short in length.
You never showed weakness. You sang through your heart and soul. Song seemed to be your strength. My heart grew for your character and personality. We laughed, we cried; cuddled, and one time saw two movies; one paid for; in one day or at least we tried. I liked that kind of adventure in you.

Alot of people are fake; NOT you.

You've made an impact so bright, so true.

~~I will live without taking life seriously. I will laugh hard, stop and look around at the world and it's beautiful nature.

You've made me realize the beauty in life. I'm glad you had the chance to know it's beauty. You were a beautiful person.
You will be remembered and always in my heart.

Love you always,
Melissa
