Adele Wallace BUTLER

BUTLER, Adele Wallace Del, 92, was a Jersey girl and spent many summers "down the Shore". In high school, she was a cheerleader, voted Most Popular, and starred in many plays, both during and after High School, plus as you all know, she LOVED to dance!! Del arrived in Palm Beach in 1946, where she met our dad Ki Wallace at Green's Pharmacy. They married in 1947. After having the 3 of us, Leslie, Terry and Laurie, she jumped into our lives with both feet: Brownies, Girl Scouts, PTA, and non-stop competitive swim meets. She was always our champion and everyone's favorite parent! After 29 years of marriage, we sadly lost our dad in 1976. Mom was fortunate enough to meet another wonderful man, Hy Butler. We were introduced to his sweet family: Sandy, Bob, Bill, and Tommy. We loved our new sister and brothers. During Del and Hy's 26 years together, they enjoyed many world travels. Over the years, our families grew. Del had 2 great marriages (both World War II vets), incredible grandchildren and eventually great-grandchildren. Del was pre-deceased by Hy's children, Sandy Butler Golson and Tommy Butler. Sadly in 2003, we also lost Hy. On May 12, 2017, Del passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She will be forever cherished and deeply missed by all of us: Leslie Wallace Binder, Terry Wallace, Laurie Wallace Fragakis (Greg), Bob Golson Sr., Bob Butler (Lauren), Bill Butler (Ellen), grandchildren, Alyssa Jacey Binder, Garrett Binder (Grecia), Kirk Fragakis, Kyle Fragakis (Debbie), Bob Golson, Jr. (Donna), Bill Golson (Darlene), and great-grandchildren, Jeremy and Amanda Golson, Luca Binder, Kylie and Demi Fragakis. In memory of Del, donations can be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, or the charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lakeside Presbyterian Church at 3:00PM on Sunday, May 21.
