Alexandra Marie Gagliano Nussbaum, age 52, passed away last week in her home in Boca Raton, FL. She had been struggling with health issues including diabetes. Ms. Nussbaum was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, on May 1, 1963. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Long Island, NY where she lived until moving to Miami, FL in 1972. She became a resident of Boca Raton, FL, shortly after marrying her former husband, Michael Nussbaum. Alexandra graduated from The Peddie School in Hightstown, NJ in 1982 and attended Mitchell College in New London, CT. She worked throughout the Miami and Fort Lauderdale areas in the property management, retail and IT tech support fields. She most recently worked for a travel company in Boca Raton, FL. Alexandra is remembered as vivacious, loving and loyal to all who knew her. She was a dedicated mother who volunteered for the Girl Scouts for many years at St. Jude Catholic School which her daughter attended until last year. Alexandra is survived by immediate family members her mother, Sandra Ross Wilkinson of Miami Beach; her brother, Ross Gagliano of Miami and her daughter, Amanda Soleil Nussbaum of Boca Raton. Other survivors include her cousins, Audrey Ross, Heather Ross and Emily Eyres of Bethesda, MD, an aunt, Sheila Ross of Annapolis, MD, and a half brother, Jordan Gagliano of New York. Services will be held at St. Jude Catholic Church, 21689 Toledo Road, Boca Raton, 33433 at 1:30PM on Friday, April 1, 2016. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Catholic School, 21689 Toledo Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33433.
