Angel Gonzalez, 60, of Palm Beach Gardens, passed Monday, March 16,
2020 from a long battle of cancer. He was born October 2, 1959, in
Havana, Cuba to Mateo Gonzalez and Marta Gonzalez, who preceded
him in death. After moving to the United States, Angel grew up in
Hialeah, FL and lived many years in Atlanta, GA where he enjoyed
hunting and fishing. When he got tired of the cold weather, he and his
wife moved to Florida. Angel enjoyed a 10 year career working with
Palm Beach-Broward Landscaping with his last position as a Supervisor.
Outside of being a good dancer, Angel enjoyed going out on his boat,
fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his
wife of 28 years, Esperanza "Mimi" Escobar de Gonzalez; Sons and
Daughter-in-laws, Steven Angel and Melissa Gonzalez of Port St. Lucie,
Luciano Manuel and Rebecca Gonzalez of Winder, GA, Matthew Nat and Blanca Gonzalez of Lawrenceville,
GA; Sister, Marta Gonzalez of Norcross, GA; Brother and Family, Jose Manuel, Wife, Valeria; Niece, Mylee
Gonzalez; Nephew, Cody Shipley and Fiancé, Kacie Cutshaw, of Greeneville, TN; Niece and Nephew-in-law
Jessika and Adam Brannon, of Hiram, GA; and 11 grandchildren.
No funeral services will be held prior to burial. His resting place will be at Our Lady Queen of Peace
Cemetery at 12 noon on March 24th. In lieu of flowers, donations/gifts can made attention to "The
Gonzalez Family." at 3664 Holiday Rd. Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. The family would like to thank Palm
Beach-Broward Landscaping for their care of Mimi and the many people who prayed with us during this
difficult time.
