ANNE LIPPMAN DAVIS October 8, 1918 – August 30, 2012 Anne Lippman Davis was born in the Bronx, NY, attended A.B. Davis High School in Mt. Vernon, NY, and earned a masters degree from Hunter College. She taught in the NYC public school system until her retirement in 1972. Anne was married to George Davis from 1939 until his death in 1984. She was a committed and passionate citizen, and devoted her skills and energy to civic organizations such as the League of Women Voters, the Free Sons of Israel, and her condo community. She was a lover and supporter of the arts, including opera and the ballet. But mainly, Anne Davis will be remembered for her devotion to her family and many friends. She is survived by her sister, Adrianne LePore, her children Geoff Davis and Carol Koss, her grandchildren Zachary Davis, Alexis Davis Caponi, Catheryn Koss, and Michael Koss, Jr., and her great-grandchildren Christopher Koss, Anthony Davis Gennosa, and Claudio Caponi. A graveside service will be held at noon on Sunday, September 2 at Star of David Cemetery of the Palm Beaches. Friends may honor Anne's memory by making a contribution to the League of Women Voters.
