Anthony Sardo Obituary

ANTHONY P. SARDO "Tony" 86, of Boynton Beach, a former coal miner and gas station owner in Throop, PA, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2003. Mr. Sardo was a resident of Sterling Village for 20 years, where he was a member of their local chorus group and many clubs. He belonged to Fraternal Order of Eagles, Elks Lodge and Holy Name Society. He was also a member of the Lakeland Golf Course, Lakeland, PA and an avid bowler. He is survived by wife, Margaret "Peggy" Sardo of Boynton Beach; daughter, Theresa (Lowell) Schulz of Chapin, SC; two sisters: Sadie (Angelo) Barone of Throop, PA and Josephine Marchese of Dunmore, PA; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Sardo was preceded in death by his first wife, Elizabeth "Betty" Sardo; son, Vincent Sardo; and two brothers: Samuel Sardo and Joseph Sardo. A Memorial Service will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, February 27, 2003 at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Boynton Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The American Lung Association, 2701 N. Australian Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407 in Mr. Sardo's memory.
