Barbara and I were best friends during our teens. We had wonderful times hanging out at west End Sundries, at her Aunt Irma's and double dating. Then she met Douglas, the love of her life. Years later my precious niece Pauline married Darvin. Sadly, they and so many others have gone on before her. Rest peacfully Dear Barbara. You have earned your star in Heaven.

~So very sorry to hear about your loss! As this is clearly the part of life, I will never understand!? With that said...thank you for watching my Brother Tracy and I, when we were little, and taking care of us, when you and Uncle Douglas did! My mother,(Ouida) Jackie Raines' first wife...always spoke highly of you, and still does. She said you told her "she was the only person whom, ever looked that good in hair rollers!" Among so many other memories that you guys shared, and behalf of my family in Georgia..."thank you", very much for the Memories! You leave behind a GREAT family, who I look forward to reuniting with one-day, as Life is short, so hope fully sooner than later we will all meet, the families who are across the miles! God Bless The Ones That Remain...we love you.

Barbara was truly an amazing woman, she raised 5 children whom she loved dearly, and then they had children and she was always there for them.

Steve loved his Uncle Douglas and we spend many nights at his "barn" sometimes I would go inside and sit and talk with Barbara. I admired her, she never talked about people, but she would let someone know if she thought they were doing wrong. Barbara had so much knowledge, she was very interesting to listen to.

The love of her life was Douglas, and she was his. They are now together again, along with her sons, Roger and Darvin.

I know you know she is better off now, but that does not mean it is not hard for you. Cherish you memories with this special lady.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. This is when we wished we did not live so far away. We love all of you and hope God gives you the strength to get through this day.

With much love,
Gretchen & Steve
