Bette Harpster Obituary


Family-Placed Funeral Notice

BETTE JANE HARPSTER 66, of Gainesville, FL, passed away at her residence, under the care of Hospice, on September 7, 2005, of natural causes. A local resident since 2004, when she moved to Gainesville from Lime Rock, NC, Bette was born in Belle Glade, FL, and lived most of her life in the Palm Beach area before moving to North Carolina. She was a retired nurse in a doctor's office, and she was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Harpster Sr., in 2004 and two sons: John Harpster in 1985 and Stanley Harpster in 2002. Bette is survived by a daughter, Wendy Harpster of Gainesville; two sons: Denis Harrelle of Tallahassee, FL, and William Harpster Jr. of West Palm Beach, FL; and six grandchildren. Arrangements by VETERANS FUNERAL CARE-CLEARWATER, FL, (727) 467-0922.

My mother will be missed by so many. I will spend the rest of my life trying to cope with her death. She was more than a mother, she was my best friend.
