Brandon Merrill Obituary
Haylee Ann Brucker was driving northbound on the interstate about 8:30 p.m, when, for unknown reasons, she lost control her Honda Accord, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The car spun to the grassy shoulder and flipped over several times north of Donald Ross Road.
Brucker and her front-seat passenger, Brandon James Merrill, were ejected from the car. Merrill died at the scene, and Brucker was taken to St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach, where she died.
Neither Brucker, 17, or Merrill, 18, were wearing seatbelts, the FHP said.
Three other teens were also in the car. One suffered serious, but not life-threatening injuries, and the other two received minor injuries, Lt. Tim Frith said.

Wow... its been almost 5 months since you have been gone. It still feels like yesterday. I found a picture of you today from like four years ago when me and candice ran into you at the fair. You won me a purple teddy bear that i still have. It really has been a few years since we hung out. We might have talked alot of smack to each other but that was part of the fun. I really enjoyed hanging out with u. You were such a sweet and giving person. I can think of so many funny things we all did in the short amount of time we hung out. Its been 5 months since you left us but the heartache is still there. We all love you brandon and i know we'll get to hang out again someday. Love you

Im so sorry this happend to you. i wrote on here once before and it never came up on here so ill write again. Well ive known u since we were babys ur mom useto baby sit me so it really hits home for us all. I wish everyday this didnt happen even tho u were young everyone says u lived life to the fullest and i no they are right i have so many memories from when we were young to many to say but im sure u remember to. Its hard to think that this is just the way things are and it will happen more then once in a life time but like at ur funeral the man said its kinda like u become immund to it u get useto it. Really i have ive gone threw this alot alot more then ive ever known but im staying strong and living life till its my time. We will all see you again someday i no that but that space in time that ur gone is hard on everyone. im so sad for ur mom and scotty i cant even imagine what its like Im so sorry u guys but i promise in a year or 2 ull feel better. I know things dont always go the way you want but everything that happenes is gods choice for us right? Im sure theres a very good reason that god chose to take shorty he did have a heart of gold he did everything to satisfy anyone he helped out me and my best friend countless times. we always had fun we had some crazy fun times so maybe he isnt "down here" with us but he is with us in spirit. Im sure he still sleeps in his bed at night cuz its still there =] He probably still hangs out with his friends and his mom when they dont even know it. Maybe people die but Souls dont. Brandon I can't believe you'r gone. I remember working at Jerry And Joes', and all the fun stuff we did together. I miss you Bro. I will never forget you. I'll see you again someday. Brandon, we spoke a few times the past months. I did'nt know you that well, but my son Matt thought of you like a little brother. He will never get over how quickly you were gone, that he didn't get to go fishing with you one more time. Shorty...Damn bro I can't believe your gone. I mean when I found out, I was in shock. I think everybody was. Out of all people you had to be the one to leave us. You had one of the best personalities that had ever known. I mean I remember the last time we talked me and my girlfiend got in a fight and i was gonna walk home from her house. But of course you didnt let me. You drove out of your way, skipped the movie you were gonna see, and picked me up. Talking to you made me feel so much better just because that was the kind of person you are. You will be with us forever and I know your watching down on us. I'm gonna miss you bro.
