Brandon, I Miss You...Still. A mother's love and my grieving your death are never ending. I often listen to Dire Straits' song and watch the video, "On Every Street" with you in my heart. And on this Memorial Day weekend, it seems appropriate to include a recent article in your memory. You were a truly wonderful part of my life, of which I will never forget. I love you, my Brandon. Mom.

Mother's Day is a day each year that has become a quiet one for me. And in that inner quiet, it has become a day that magnifies Brandon's absence from this world and from my life. Today is a day that no longer finds me distraught. Instead, I guess I've found acceptance that I won't get that phone call nor hear the door open with the words, "Happy Mother's Day!" and a kiss on the cheek. Instead, I feel a quiet, non-eventful awareness that today I am alone. I Miss You...Still. Mom

To my Brandon:

My son, your death still brings tears to my eyes and I believe always will. A mother's love has no limits and I continue to pray we hug again when my day comes and I depart this Earth. I love you so very much.

I Miss You...Still.

Message from C. Reynoso (See picture with Brandon)

How are you doing Mrs. Sapp my name is Calvin Reynoso i was a friend of Brandon . We met in basic training I only have Two pictures of him but thankful to have them . I'll send them to you. In a short time he had a huge impact on my life. He was so motivated and funny. He use to say this phase instead of saying like this he would say like thuuuuuus and we thought it was so funny . Lol. He was my battle buddy we had planned to meet after basic and ended up going to 2 different duty stations. We were both in Iraq at the same time just different locations. I found out he passed when i came back. I felt so guilty i wish it was me he was a great human and had a smile and laugh that was contagious . I shared Brandon's story today .

I want to give people hope and try to make a difference because of Brandon I am alive I owe it to him to try and make a difference.

If you ever need anything or if there anything we can do to continue to keep his legacy alive please let me know.

Brandon and Calvin Reynoso at beginning of Basic.

Here is a close-up of the Memorial Stone honoring Palm Beach County's Fallen in the "Global War on Terrorism". I wanted to honor our County's Fallen and unveiled the Memorial Stone on July 4, 2005. It will always be a memory to not only Brandon but to those who "Paid the Ultimate Sacrifice" and will be a place for friends and family of all the Fallen to sit in quiet reflection of their loved ones.

Mom put your name first on the Memorial Stone. There are now 11 Fallen on the Stone. They shall never be forgotten.

Brandon, despite the years, a mother's connection is never broken and this anniversary has been no different. Yesterday afternoon, I took a red heart-shaped helium balloon to the foothills and wrote a note on the balloon to you. With tears in my eyes, I released it into the mountains until it could be seen no more. I'll always love you, my Brandon. Till I can hug you again,
I Miss You...Still

Brandon, you were my best friend growing up, living across the street, doing everything together. You were like an older brother to me and always had my back. We used to have so much fun together. I remember the last time I saw you, back home dressed in your uniform. I never thought it would be the last time. I was 17 when you passed away, and didn't understand a lot about the world. I understand more now, but it will never make sense. Your sacrifices are immeasurable and I know you had noble reasons for serving our country. On this Memorial Day I will definitely be thinking of you and wishing you and your family peace and happiness. I love you very much and miss you very much. I hope you are resting in peace and finding all the love you need.

Brandon, this is the first year I've been able to open these photo albums to post pics. It has been emotional for me. 19 albums with a lot of great memories as your mom-watching u grow into an Honorable man. I often think about the pros and cons list we made one night that led u to choose the path of the Military. Oh how proud...then and now. I continue to hold on to my faith that I will hold you again. I miss you...Still.
