Family-Placed Funeral Notice

BRIAN GAUGHAN Donald Brian Gaughan, age 45, of Loxahatchee passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 26, 2005 after a brief illness. Brian was born and raised in North Miami, Florida, son of the late Donald Francis Gaughan and Donna Baxter Gaughan. He attended Holy Family, PACE High School and graduated from North Miami Senior High Class of 1977. Brian served 24 years with the Miami-Dade County Fire Rescue as a firefighter/driver. Brian was an avid hunter and fisherman and a devoted fan of the Miami Hurricanes, Miami Dolphins and the Miami Heat. Brian leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife and best friend of 15 years, Jennifer; their eight year old son Jared; mother Donna Gaughan; sister Bonnie Gaughan-Bailey (John); and brother Brady Gaughan (Kris). He was the proud uncle of six nieces and five nephews. Brian valued family, his many fishing and hunting buddies, and his firefighter brothers and sisters. He was proud to serve with the finest. The Gaughan family will receive friends from 10 am to 12 noon Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Lithgow-Bennet-Philbrick Funeral Home at 15011 W. Dixie Highway, North Miami. Mass will be celebrated at 12:30 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, 14500 N.E. 11th Avenue, North Miami followed by entombment at Southern Memorial Park, 15000 W. Dixie Highway, North Miami where he will lay to rest next to his father.
