Cheryl Dempsey Obituary

CHERYL S. (WREND) DEMPSEY age 55 died on Sunday, November 30, 2003, died at her home in Weston, MA after a long battle with cancer. She was the wife of Joseph J. Dempsey, with whom she was married for 32 years. Born in Madison, WI, she was the daughter of Gerald and Aileen (Morgan) Wrend of Rockford, IL. Mr. and Mrs. Dempsey resided in Hobe Sound, FL during the winter. She was a communicant of St. JuliaÕs Church in Weston. Besides her husband and parents she is survived by her children: Rebecca Foley and husband Christopher of Sudbury, MA; Benjamin Dempsey and fiancŽe Lisa Dougherty of New York City and Angela Bartholomew and husband James of Sudbury, MA; grandsons Patrick Foley, Joseph and James Bartholomew. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 3, 2003 at 10:00 AM in St. JuliaÕs Church, Boston Post Rd., Weston. Interment will follow in Linwood Cemetery, Weston. Visitation at her residence, 55 Love Lane, Weston on Tuesday, December 2 from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Cheryl S. Dempsey Cancer Fund, Attention: Larry Hanawalt, Room 307, 660 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02118. Arrangements under the direction of J.S. Waterman & Sons, 592 Washington St., Wellesley, MA 02482
