Family-Placed Obituary
ERIC LIND ISHAM Eric Lind Isham passed away June 18, 2010, at the all too young age of 19, due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born April 19, 1991. He is survived by his mother, Donna Isham; Father, Clayton Isham; stepfather, Pat Dabney; stepmother, Sherry Isham; sister, Kaitlyn Isham; brother, Robert Isham; step siblings, Dustin Dabney and Claire Isham; and the love of his life Brittani Milliner. He also leaves behind his grandmother Phyllis Duchene and many aunts, uncles and cousins who love him dearly. Eric graduated the EMT program from Palm Beach State College and was scheduled to attend the Firefighter Academy in the fall. Eric was known for his passion for adventure and excitement. He was happy all the time and enjoyed life to its full extent. He loved everyone and everyone loved him. He was the life of any party and always had a plan. Eric dreamed big, set a goal and never looked back. Eric had a heart of gold and always looked out for everyone. His sense of humor was priceless and will be dearly missed. The bond Eric shared with his friends and family will continue to grow through this tragic loss. There will be a memorial service held at Palms West Funeral Home on Saturday, June 26, 2010 starting at 4:30 PM. A Celebration of Eric's Life Party will be held immediately following the service at his parent's home in Homeland. Hard to believe you've been gone this long. I wish so bad that you were here with us still, but I know thats being selfish. I'm sure wherever you are your still spreading smiles and giving the most genuine and helpful advice..thats what I miss most. It seems you've always had the answers to any questions I've had and in such an obvious way, as if I should've figured it out on my own, but I never could have. You truly were an angel sent from above to guide us to friendship, laughter, and peace of mind. You will forever be in our minds and in our hearts. Shake-N-Bake Ericy!

My deepest sympathy goes out to Eric's family! It is the saddest when a parent outlives their child. Eric was a good guy with many ambitions ahead of him, and he now lives on through others. His body may be dead but his soul lives on and he watches down upon his loved ones. He is in a better place, even though it is hard to grasp. Donna, you and everyone else feel like family to me and at times I cry over Eric's death because he was so young and it was just a couple months ago we were all hanging out. You will always remain in my prayers and I wish that each day will get just a tad bit easier to get through. And for Robert and Kaitlyn, you guys have just each other now so cherish every day together, even when the other one may get on your nerves. And Brittani, I am sorry the one you truly loved was ripped away from you, but I know he is forever in your heart as you are his. You will reunite again and forever be happy and in love. The rest of the family, you all have my condolences and just cherish life and every day together as you never know when it may be one's last. Thank you to everyone who added to this Guestbook. I am Eric's mom Donna. I appreciate all your support and comments. It helps so much to hear about him. Eric was so happy and thrilled with his completion of EMT school and was planning on attending the firefighter academy. Thank you to all the EMT teachers and students who made his time at school so special. He truly loved every minute of it. Also thank you to all his friends and family for your ongoing love and support. We will all miss Eric but I know he is looking down on us and wanting us to all be happy for him in his new place in eternity.

You have a big ache in your heart that only the Lord can fill. When you don't understand and you don't know God's plans trust His heart. His ways are bigger than ours and the larger picture can not be fully understood. Jesus died that another comforter could come to live within us. Eric was one of my students in the EMT program and I must say I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. He was such a great young man who wanted to make a difference in other people's lives. He will be sorely missed by all that knew and couldn't help but love him.

Eric was one of the most fearless people I ever met. He always had a smile on his face and nothing seemed to make him nervous or emabarrassed. He had a genuine nature to help people and I know he would have been a great firefighter and paramedic. I am truly sorry for your loss. Class of 2010 EMT.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my son Danny 18 months ago at the young age of 21. The best advice I can give is to remember the wonderful years you were blessed to have him in your life. Eric was a great kid , always made us laugh in EMT class he sat right next to me, we shared a lot of stories together .Eric had a heart of gold we satyed in contact even after class , he sure was an adventurous guy. My heart is so sad in hearing of the loss of your son. I wish that I could make some great philosophical statement that would ease the hurt and pain, but there is none. Just know that there are a lot of people here at the VA saying prayers and hurting right along with you, just wanting to "fix it" but knowing that we can't.
