Franki Jacobson Obituary

A woman and two young boys were found shot to death this morning in an exclusive gated neighborhood, dead at the hands of a husband and father who crashed his car west of Delray Beach after the killings and confessed to paramedics, authorities said.

Palm Beach County Sheriff's deputies found the bodies of the woman and boys, neither of whom appeared older than 7 or 8, inside a house at 11580 South Sea Court in the Isles community, authorities said. The boys were set to celebrate their 7th birthday with a party at their house today, according to a neighbor and family friends.

County records show the house is owned by Neal M. Jacobson, 49, and his wife Franki Jacobson, 53, who bought the 5,149 square-foot home in 2005 for $765,798.

Dearest Franki & Sons...My heart is truly broken, as I just learned of the horrific and tragic news of Your way too soon departure from our Lives on this earth. Beautiful lovely Franki...although I never had the opportunity to meet Your Precious Twins, I know that You are ALL in the Holy Presence of our LORD & Savior JESUS CHRIST, and that You are, and shall forever be, together forever! Your Beloved Sisters are in my thoughts and prayers, for their great comfort and healing during this truly difficult time. I do look forward to seeing You again, meeting Your Boys, and giggling together like in the good old FGC days, when we reunite on the "other side"...Always in HIS Great Love, <3 oxox Anna & Dad

Franki, Eric & Joshua:

We never know when it will be the last time we speak to a person. Franki, I hope you know that I think you were a wonderful person and I always enjoyed and will miss our talks. Joshua and Eric were so full of life, it was fun to just watch them. I hope that I said Goodbye to you the last time I spoke to you, and I hope that you are at peace. You didn't deserve this and I still just don't understand. I am honored just to have known you.

January 28, 2010

To our dearest families and friends, some things We'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that we have arrived okay.
We're writing this from heaven. Here we dwell with G-d above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because we're out of sight.
Remember that we're with you every morning, noon and night.
That day we had to leave you when our lives on earth was through,
G-d picked us up and hugged us and He said, "I welcome all three of you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

G-d gave us a list of things, that he wished for us to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
G-d and us are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of our lives on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

We wish that we could tell you all that G-d has planned.
But if we were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though our lives on earth is o'er.
We're closer to you now, than we ever were before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always our philosophy and we'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to G-d at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got us on your mind;
We're walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to us.

To the Families and Friends affected by this horrible and senseless tragedy,
my thoughts and prayers are with you. May you rest in peace in the kingdom of Heaven

I can not begin to tell you how sad I am to hear about Franki, Josha, and Eric's death. I have known Franki for over 20 years and know that she was one of the best mothers ever. Having met and laughed with those two beautiful boys and their lovely mother, it is impossible to imagine someone taking them away. We pray that Franki and her boys are resting in peace now. And that their hearts continue to shine for the ones that loved and lost them.

~ Dear Franki and her boys ~

Several years ago I came to know Franki as we both dropped off our kids at TBT preschool. Some mornings we'd joke about heading back north ... Some mornings we'd talk about walking. EVERY morning Franki talked about the love she had for Josh and Eric. We'd giggle about wasting time in the parking lot just knowing and feeling better about being closer to our kids.

This tragic news leaves me very heavy hearted. May they rest in peace.

Deepest Sympathy to Neil's Mother and Family and Franki's family. The Real Estate Community is reeling here in NJ from the shock and pain of such a tragedy. This tragedy is hardly believable, but yet it happened. I watched from a distance through the years to see Young Neil and Young Franki come up the ladder of a tough business and build a steller reputation. They were both hard workers and nice people. I haven't seen them in many years. My heart goes out to Neil's Mother (whom I worked with)and her Family and most certainly Franki's Family. What else can I say. So so sorry.

Nature

As a fond mother, when the day is o'er,
Leads by the hand her little child to bed,
Half willing, half reluctant to be led,
And leave his broken playthings on the floor,
Still gazing at them through the open door,
Nor wholly reassured and comforted
By promises of others in their stead,
Which, though more splendid, may not please him more;
So Nature deals with us, and takes away
Our playthings one by one, and by the hand
Leads us to rest so gently, that we go
Scarce knowing if we wish to go or stay,
Being too full of sleep to understand
How far the unknown transcends the what we know.

Franki, Josh and Eric - know that you have touched the lives around you. I could always count on Franki for conversation at the bus stop and Leah and Cameron often joked with Eric on the bus (as he had the assigned seat in front of them). You will never be forgotten. Though your passing is absolutely senseless and tragic - it should renid us all to cherish what we have in our lives and to always take that time to give the ones you love that extra little hug and kiss. Hopefully, the three of you are together smiling down on us all - just like you did when we were fortunate enough to see you each day.

Franki and I worked together at Shearson Lehman Bros. in Forest Hills in 1988 & 1989. She never had a bad word to say about anyone, and her easygoing manner, pretty face and smile made her an office favorite back then.

About 4 mos. ago, I attended a Jewish Event here in Florida where I had moved with my family in 2000.

Franki was at the event and I remembered her from Forest Hills. I reintroduced myself to her, and even though I hadn't seen her in some 20 odd years, she was still as gracious as ever, even though I'm fairly certain she didn't remember me.

What a pity her life ended in such violent fashion.

I know I speak for the entire staff we worked with at Shearson Lehman Brothers in extending my deepest sympathies to Franki's family.

I've never had the pleasure of meeting Franki, Josh, or Eric, however I live very close by. This news is devastating, and my heart goes out to them and their family who has to deal with such a tremendous loss. =(

We are so very sorry, shocked, and heartbroken to hear this news. Our thoughts and prayers will be with your family.
We will cheerish our warm memories of you and those two amazing boys playing outside with our kids in the old cul de sac. May the Lord wipe away all your tears.
