I was very sorry to hear that Mrs. Nelson had passed. She was my English teacher at Lincoln Junior Senior High School and our librarian at John F.Kennedy High School. She did her very best to make sure that her students were well prepared for wherever their paths took them -- which made her an outstanding teacher.
Your entire family is in my thoughts and prayers.

My sincere condolences to Helen, Vernon Jr. and the family of Dr. Fredeva M. Nelson,
May God in His Infinite mercy, grace and love give you comfort at this time of grief.
My mere words can not ease the pain, yet I am a true believer that God's Word will give you comfort and peace as you go thru the coming days.
" For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."

I thank God for giving Dr. Nelson that wonderful gift of reaching out to others and making a difference in their lives.
Continue to keep the faith and trust in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that you carry on her legacy. God's blessings to each and everyone of you.

Our hearts are broken for your loss and we pray for your comfort and strength during this difficult time. The Richardson and the Nelson parents were very close and we cherish the love and friendship that has been passed down to the children. We have always admired Mrs. Nelson for being a visionary, fighter for civil and human rights and stretching her arms wide to care for others. We will miss her.
