Thought about you this morning and decided to let you know. I wish kids had more say in their parent's relationships, I would have made my Mother marry you, back when I was a kid. I miss you. You taught me so much, not even trying. Now I am missing both you and my Mommy. Thank you for your influence on my life. I miss you.

Great Guy... I remember him dearly. We worked against and with each other for 30 years....

I was riding down Lafayette yesterday, and passed the Co-ops Judge Crockett resided in last I saw him, around 2012-13. I met him while I was working downtown in 2011 - he was as a customer of a cell phone provider I worked for, and would come in to pay his bill. Over the couple of years that I worked there, I learned of his history and background, and after a few conversations with him we began what I would call a mentorship. He became someone I would look to for wisdom. Soon after, he met my husband and my son, and we would do small jobs around his home, helping him to organize and clean. His basement was like a library or small museum, and it always interesting to look at old pictures and books that he had scattered around. He'd always buy loads of food for us, despite us never eating it all, lol. Such a wise, kind, and honest man. After riding by last night, I decided to look him up this morning and came across the story that he passed in 2016. I just want to pay respect and let it be known that Judge Crockett left a footprint on my heart that will never be forgotten.
Respectfully,
Natasha aka Slim Goodie

Dear Uncle George,I guess I really already knew, but as I was reading Proverbs this morning, God prompted me to Goggle your name. I immediately burst into tears. I am so Glad Antonio and I came over there and brought you cookies. Glad I worked near you, when I did, and was able to drop by. I have so many good memories of you from my childhood. You and my mother, you and I riding up to "TheLake". You taught me how to drive with my knee, unknowingly. LOL. I love you so much. I pray I see again on the Throne of Grace. You were a very good man. Tears are flowing now. I love you, mucho! See you on the other side. Rest in Peace, and Love forever,Natasha L. Griffin

I didn't know that george had died. I found out quite accidentally. George and I were classmates at Morehouse. I still have the shoulder holster he gave me . He made it at summer camp. He was smart and fun.

I'm glad to have had the opportunity to be assigned to your courtroom as a prosecuting attorney. You were a challenging personality, always eminently fair to every person present. Occasionally, that dry wit slipped out and it was amusing to watch you try not to smile.
You made me a better lawyer than I might have been otherwise, and I thank you for that. You are, and will be, missed.

My final farewell to my Big Brother, Supporter and Friend; the Honorable Judge George W. Crockett III. Thank you for sharing my life for 37 years. Funny... I never could get you to go out on the boat with me-although you kept promising. What....you thought I was going see if you could walk on water ? Nah..But maybe next time.... Until we meet again. RIP

I was at Windsor Mountain School from 1957-1961 and remember George well, and his sister, Ethel. I had no idea he was in West Palm Beach, as that is where I live. I would have like to have visited. George was a strong leader and very much admired and respected at WMS.
