Family-Placed Funeral Notice
GERALDINE ALIFANO It is with much sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Geraldine Alifano. She lived every day to the fullest and will be forever remembered as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born January 23, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York. Married 51 years to Luigi. They moved to Florida in 1970, and raised their family. Three children - Joseph (Debbie) Alifano, Angelina (Pete) Martinsen, and Maria (Tony) Altieri will miss her daily; three sisters - Rosie Scafuro, Delores DeSena, and Rita Barbarite will also miss her. However, she lived for her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Andrea, Kristina (Moses), and Joseph Alifano. Louis, Peter III, and Nick Martinsen. Ariana, and Anthony Altieri, were with her, wherever she traveled, or whoever she was talking with. She also lived to experience two great grandchildren, Nina and Gianna. Gerry lived every day as a true Christian woman, and was a devout Catholic in faith. The family invites you to a viewing Tuesday, June 26, 2007 from 6-8 pm at the Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home, 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL. A Mass of Christian will be Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 10 am at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Jupiter, FL, entombment will follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach. RECENTLY HEARING FROM OUR FRIEND, WHOM IS LIKE A MOTHER TO US, RITA BARBARITE, THAT HER SISTER GERALDINE ALIFANO PASSED AWAY WAS SO SAD. HOWEVER, AS SHE MAY BE PARTED FROM HER LOVING EARTHLY FAMILY AND WILL BE MISSED GREATLY, SHE IS IN A BETTER PLACE, IN HER HEAVENLY HOME. THANK GOD THAT WHEN WE DIE HIS PEOPLE GET NEW BODIES, FREE OF SICKNESS AND PAIN. FULL OF HAPPINESS AND FREEDOM. WE ALL LOOK FORWARD TO THAT DAY WHEN WE ARE HOME WITH THE LORD. SHE IS SUFFERING NO MORE. WE, RODNEY AND MARIA THOMPSON, PAY OUR CONDULANCES TO RITA AND HER FAMILY. WE HOLD YOU ALL UP IN PRAYER AND YOU ARE ALL LOVED.
