Harvey was an inspiration to all of us and changed many lives for the better. He was a proud Christian man with dynamic faith. He preached a sermon each day of his life by his kindness, his compassion, his simple courtesies and daily thoughtfulness.

He touched a lot of hearts and brought much joy along the way.

It takes a special kind of person to care enough to take the time for others, to do whatever it takes to help somebody out. To Harvey, giving was what made living a pleasure. I don’t believe he realized how much his warmth and thoughtfulness meant to those around him. He just went on bringing smiles from day to day without a thought of gratitude or praise.

Harvey was the perfect friend. I feel the Lord brought us together to share and support each other. He was always there to comfort and listen when my life was changing. We shared tears of happiness and wept tears of despair.

My friend is gone and I will surely miss him, but I know we will see each other again. Until that time, I am thankful for the gift of peaceful memories that will live on in my heart, and for the smile that will always brighten my face when I think of him.
