Jeffrey Switzer Obituary

Switzer, Jeffrey Maxwell
It is with great sadness the Switzer Family announces that "Max" Switzer, age 30, died of accidental drowning on July 15, 2019.
Max is survived by his father John, step-mother Gigi, two sisters: Victoria and Valerie and two brothers: John Junior and David Grafton.
Born in Florida to Lynn Stoll-Switzer who formed the foundation of his character and strong charisma.
Max will be remembered most as someone who inspired. A young man who everyday lived with optimism. Max listened first and regardless of the challenges he faced, was guided by his unwavering concern for others.
Max will be sorely missed.

I met Max back at McMaster university around 2011 and I always thought he was out of this world. There was something so different about him and unapologetic. He always told me that I need to walk proudly in who I am and to believe in my gifts. I used to joke and ask him if he was an alien because he was unlike no other. I just thought of him today and came across this page. I´m so glad to have known him, and I know if I could talk to him now and the successes I´ve made he would tell me "I told you so" .

Til we meet again .

I was Max´s ballet teacher. He crept into my heart, grabbed hold and never let go! So proud of the adult he became, alas gone far too soon. Love you Max

Max I can't even put into words how sad and shocked I am. You were unlike any person I ever knew. You were the most selfless, positive, kind, and loving person ever. I can't believe your gone. You have a place in everyone's heart that you came in contact with and will never be forgotten. You left us all to early and I wish I could have said good bye . I love and miss you and am so sorry for your family, but know this , Max was a force of beauty, that helped light the way for everyone he came in contact with.

I had the good fortune of meeting Max in June when we became roommates. Sadly, I didnt fully realize until after his passing how blessed I had been to have someone so special come into my life. On the night he passed away, he sent me several heartfelt texts and the very last was the song SPIRIT from The Lion King. Thank you, Jeffery Maxwell Switzer, for your unwavering compassion and positivity. Forever in my heart, my friend, my beacon! I am going to finish my novels:)

Max, you have helped and improved the lives of many in such a short and vibrant time. It was a great honor and pleasure to cross paths and have shared a few, yet great moments you. Brilliant. Words are not enough to express the deep sense of loss to our Awakening Humanity. Happy that you have transitioned back to Light, Peace and His everlasting Love.
My deepest condolences to the Switzers, John, Gigi, his brothers and sisters. ❤

My deepest condolences to the Switzer family on the loss of your beloved Max. I was his dance teacher many years ago but this was no ordinary person even then. How can one forget his charm, precocious intellect and , yes, his pranks too. God speed Max! You will be sorely missed.

There are not enough words to describe how i feel about Max.
We had a teacher student relationship not only with Qigong but about life and relationships. I spoke to him just a few weeks ago about his progress and he was planning a visit. I am stunned and devastated by this news because i thought we would have fun for next fifty years.

The world lost a bright light in a world of shadows. Max had an inner joy and spirit that shone through even his toughest moments. Even as a teen I could see he was a special person. He touched my heart and I feel so honored to have met him on his all too short journey of life. I cannot imagine what Gigi and John and his family are going through. I have no words that adequately describe my pain and sympathy. Max is surely an angel above us now. But I do wish he were still on earth making us smile. My prayers, tears and love to his family and friends.

Dear Max's family and Friends, it is with great sadness that I learned the passing of Max. I met Max practising and learning qi gong with his help and guidance. His presence and attitude was phenomenal. He made an important impact in my journey to a higher self. He will be missed in this physical realm but his presence and spirit will remain within me. Now he is an angel.

Max Switzer. I can't believe you have transitioned. You are like a shooting star of light. You came into my life at such a crucial time. Thank you for being my friend and for showing up for me the day that I found out I was fired from my job at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops. A wall had just fallen on me at work and I got my first head injury and then when they fired me I was completely crushed. You did a hypnotherapy session on me and you helped me believe in my capacity to start my art career. I don't even know if I had made any art by that point or not, but you lead me through a session. You reminded me I could step into the fullness of my creativity and get paid for it. You allowed me to open up to the confidence to fulfill my dreams!!! Then we took this fabulous walk through the arroyos of Santa Fe. I remember you drove me crazy because you were practicing walking meditation by walking as slow as you possibly could, being perfectly mindful of each movement, intention, and action. You helped slow me down and inspire me to go within and embrace this moment. I'm so so sad you are gone, but I feel the absolute joy of your spirit - so free!!! I love you. Thank you for being such a bright light and my brother. Thank you for shining your brightness while you were here.

Max and I met at yoga teacher training here in Santa Fe. Then he became the best hypnotherapist ever! He was such a bright light. My condolences to his family; he will be missed but I know a star shines in the sky now which reflects his sweet soul.

I taught you when you were a kid at Southern Dance for years! You drove me crazy half the time with all that Energy you had. We reconnected in your adulthood and was so very blessed to have had you back in my life. You worked for my company and I helped you in anyway that I could. Endless conversations and rides when you needed them. I'm thankful & blessed for the time we got to spend together.

Fly with the Angels my dear Max, may you watch over us all. Your smile and passion will never be forgotten. Love you my friend and we will reunite again on the other side. .
Prayers to The Switzer Family, Maggie and All of us that knew this remarkable guy. I WILL MISS YOU.

I am devastated by this news. I remember just going up with him to visit Maggie in May and playing a short concert for her and her housemates, and having him come with me for a memorial service for my father. Max helped me enormously for which I will be forever grateful and I can't believe he is gone.
