Family-Placed Obituary

JOHN H. PURDY John H. Purdy 81 of Greenacres, Florida died peacefully at the home of his daughter in Lake Worth on Thursday August 28th after a brief illness. He was resident of Palm Beach County since moving from New Jersey in 1960. He worked as a surveyor in PB County for many years, before joining the Lantana Police Dept. He later went on to work for the Tamarac Police Dept. where he retired as a Sgt. Predeceased by his wife of 49 years Mary Ann. He is survived by two sons: Mike Purdy (Joan) of Lake Clarke Shores, and Bob Purdy (Penny) of Boynton Beach; two daughters: Debbie Kingsbury of Lake Worth and Donna Purdy of Lake Worth; nine grandchildren: Michael (Julieanne), Robert, Christine, Cherie, Bob, April (Chris), Sean, Ryan and Kira; eight great grandchildren: Sam, Alex, Marie, Zariah, Jada, Khrystal, Harley and Addison; two cousins: Theodora Neider and Marcie Bock (Dave) both of New Jersey. A memorial Service will be held at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1615 Lake Ave., Lake Worth, FL on Saturday September 13 at 3:30 pm. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to Hospice of the Palm Beaches or the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
