Age 82, of Palm Springs, Florida passed away on November 13, 2012 in the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice Unit at JFK Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. Jose worked for Sugar Cane Growers Cooperative of Florida (Belle Glade) for 35 years. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Digna Maria Rodriguez, his adoptive daughter, Christine Stefanski, and half-brother Nicolas Rodriguez. A cherished father, he is survived by his children, Marcia (Scott) Rodriguez Applewhite of Maryland, John (Stacy) Rodriguez of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, Mario (Erin) Rodriguez of Loxahatchee, Florida, his adoptive daughter, Melissa (Brian) Lynch of Jupiter, Florida, his sister, Marta Perez of Houston, Texas, his half-siblings Jose Ramon Rodriguez and Noemi Rodriguez Acosta. He will be missed by his eleven grandchildren: Jordan (Victoria), Riley, Marshall, Max, Nicholas, Grace, Victoria, Alex, Mikayla, Mia and Madeline. A Memorial Service will be held 5:00 PM on Saturday, November 13, 2012 in the Chapel of Mizell-Faville-Zern Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 6411 Parker Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33405, (561) 833-4061. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice Unit, JFK Medical Center, 5301 South Congress Avenue, Atlantis, Florida 33462.
