Leslie was always upbeat and smiling. She was a breath of fresh air. Always making me laugh. I met Leslie as she pursued a hairdresser. I was honored to cut, color, and style her hair regularly at Carter Barnes on Paces in Atlanta GA. It was an honor to be chosen as her hairdresser and friend. She loved her son Bradley deeply. I will always miss your smiling face and caring heart.

Leslie was such a great friend to me ever I first met her through her brother Chris who was in my class in second grade in the school year 1973-74. What a fine gal she was! She was one of my friends who encouraged me when I lost my maternal grandfather in the summer 1983 upon going on my senior year in high school at Chamblee High School. My maternal grandfather passed away in mid July in 1983 about a week short of his 80th birthday. Leslie was one of friends who was by my side when I had those moments. If Leslie were still alive I would be proud to shares these pics with her

I was shocked to hear of your passing Leslie. I have fond memories of seeing you and your family on Sundays, at Holy Innocents' Episcopal Church in Sandy Springs, GA, while we were growing up in the 1970's and 1980's. We were all very proud of your accomplishments in the figure skating world. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

Sincerely,
Sharon Peterson

Leslie,

You will be missed but now you are at a better place. I remember growing up with you as a cousin and always having fun at the Lake with all of our families from swimming, camping, to fishing. You were truly loved by your mom and dad and brother and sister. Now you are in Heaven looking down upon us knowing one day we will all be together again. I am sure you are proud of your brother and sister and all your nephews, and neices, but especially proud of your son. We will miss you but I will always remember your smile and the time that you and your mom took me out to a fancy dinner when I had nothing.

Look down upon us and guide us. I am now sure you have the Gold Medal around your neck as you always deserved.

God Bless,

Richard Healy

I remember Leslie as a young skater and then as she became a skating coach for many years. I also had the honor of working with her as a skater. I will always remember her bubbly personality and determination in all she did.
My thoughts are with her family and son Bradley.

I was a childhood friend of Leslie and Jennifer from the Kingsley neighborhood in Dunwoody. I have not seen the Sikes in over 30 years and was very sad to come across this obituary in the newspaper. I remember Leslie very fondly -- she was always smiling, and she was a very caring friend to me. I admired her talent and dedication to skating -- she was very unique in our circle of grade school kids. My thoughts are with the family. May she rest in peace.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss, I skated with Leslie at many nationals championships and she came to California to train with my coach one summer. I will always remember what a wonderful skater she was and what an upbeat personality she had. She was truly a wonderful lady! We will miss you...

I always enjoyed Leslie's bubbly personality as a skater and as a coach. She coached many wonderful students in her short time in south Florida. She will be remembered by many in the skating community both in south Florida and the Atlanta area. You will be missed.
