Marjatta Karjalainen Obituary
Lantana - October 8, 1937 - July 1, 2021
On July 1, 2021, we lost our beloved mother, grandmother (mummi), great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many, Marjatta Karjalainen of Lantana, FL.
Marjatta and her husband Tauno, (deceased 2016), moved to Florida in 1972, with their daughter Nancy and son Alan, both of Lake Worth.
Marjatta was a Realtor for Dor Realty, Lake Worth, a career she enjoyed and made many lasting friendships along the way.
Real Estate was not only her career, but a passion she carried with her throughout her life.
Marjatta enjoyed helping others and never expected anything in return. She was a kind soul and loved her family and friends.
Marjatta is survived by her daughter Nancy Stefek, son Alan Karjalainen, granddaughter Shannon, Natalie (Evan), grandson Alexis (Jen), great grandsons Brad and Jr,, sister Anneli (John), brother Pentti (Valerie), brother Raimo (Auli), sisters in law Rita, Lena (Frank), and their families, and extended family in Finland and many lifelong friends.
If you wish to celebrate Marjatta's life, please join us on August 7, at St Andrews Lutheran Church, 928 South E Street, Lake Worth, FL, beginning at 10:30 am. Refreshments will follow the service.
Rest in love mom, you are missed.
