Melvin LEVINE Obituary

Melvin J. Levine, of Palm Beach, died March 20, 2013 at age 87. He is survived by his wife of almost 65 years, Claire M. Levine; son Mark Levine; daughter Robin Gordon and son-in-law Daniel Gordon; grandson Thomas M. Levine; sister Bernice Brodsky; sister Rochelle Karp and her husband Lawrence Karp; brother Lee Levine and his wife Sandra Levine. A University of Pennsylvania graduate, he had proud memories of his years there in the Navy. As most Wharton School graduates, Mel was very entrepreneurial. He enjoyed business and financial dealings and the ability they provided to afford his interests and philanthropies. He was well loved by his family and friends and care givers Neville Turner, Benru Quesada and John Fernandez. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday March 28th at Temple Emanuel in Palm Beach. Because of the Passover Holiday, Shiva will not be observed.
