Family-Placed Funeral Notice

NANCY IRENE JAMES JONES 72, joined our Lord on February 7, 2006 in Tampa, FL. Born in Boynton Beach, Florida on December 22, 1933, Nancy was a former resident of Winter Park, FL., Longboat Key, FL., and most recently Tampa, FL. Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty years, Thomas. She is survived by her daughter, Tish West and husband, Bill, of Tampa; son, Tom Jones and wife, Lisa, of Winter Park; son, Geoff Jones and wife, Gwen, of Melbourne Beach, and her eleven grandchildren; Billy, Drew, Mallory, Lindsey, Britni, Joshua, Chad, Jessica, Caroline, Stephanie, and TJ. Nancy was an active homemaker, mother and wife. In addition to raising three children, she managed several family business ventures including Winter Park Photo and Art in downtown Winter Park. She also participated in various civic groups including numerous PTA's and was active in the founding of The Orlando Civic Theatre where she served as Guild president. Nancy never met a stranger and she brought a smile to the face of everyone she met. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. Following a brief illness, Nancy died at the Melech Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at Palm Cemetery on Webster Avenue in Winter Park on February 18, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the University Club located at 841 N. Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LifePath Hospice, 3010 Azeele St., West, Tampa, Florida 33609. BLOUNT & CURRY FUNERAL HOME, Tampa (813) 876-2421
