Family-Placed Obituary

ROBERT C. STOKLEY "Bob" Robert C. "Bob" Stokley, 73, of Boynton Beach, FL died November 6, 2010 after a battle with lung cancer. Bob was born December 10, 1936 in Burlington, NJ. Bob and his family moved to Boynton Beach, FL in 1987. Survived by his wife of 46 years, Claudette (Calandra) Stokley; daughters, Renee and Dan Lampman, Heather and Don Fisher; grandchildren, Danielle, Gabrielle, JR and Emily; brother, Fred "Bud" Stokley; brother-in-law, Ted and Carol Calandra, brother-in-law, John "Jack" Lowden; sister-in-law, Gerry Galt; God-Son, Kurt Robert Stokley; many nieces and nephews with many, many special friends. Preceded by his parents, Fredrick and Evelyn Stokley; sister, Joan Lowden; nephew, Keith Stokley. Bob was an avid fan of Lake Worth Christian and PB Jr's Volleyball. Bob had a long management career with Pathmark Supermarkets and United Stationary. Bob confessed the night before he died that he broke the family scissors 65 years prior, he told his only secret. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Lake Worth Christian Reform Church, 1325 No. A St, LW, FL 33460 at 11:00 AM. My goodness..Uncle Bob will be missed but I am so glad he is up there with my mom, Grandmom and Keith...I am sure he and Joan are having some laughs about the scissors as Grandmom is giving him heck!!! We are so sorry for your loss.
Pops was such a great example of what a sold out Grandpa is! He was always so ready to drive the car pool, watch the kids,go to ball games, all because he loved you so much. His example will remain in my mind for a long, long time.
Ebay will not be the same without Bob! He loved an antique treasure!

To Claudette, the Fishers and Lampmans, My fondest memories of Bob were at the volleyball games, he really was one of the Defenders and Palm Beach JRs biggest fans. We always knew how exciting the games were by how much was left in Bobs Oxygen tank. Not only did he know our girls but he would scout other teams and could tell you their stats as well. He hated to miss a game. One of the many examples of how much he cared for the girls was when he went out of his way to make a special poster for Katelyn that we still have in a scrapbook. He also made scrapbooks for both his grandaughters. He was always behind the scenes doing something for the girls, one year he bought them all warmup sweat shirts. He looked for ways to give, to his family and others. It is a blessing to see a family that big and close and they made the volleyball team feel a part of their family. Bob (Pop) had a special place in Katelyns heart and he was one of the only people that called her Babydoll and she liked it. He was a great man who lived life to the fullest, he will be missed. Blessings to his whole family.
