Roni "Veronica" Ward

Ward, Roni "Veronica" March 29, 1941-September 9, 2012. In loving memory of a great mother, grandmother, family member and friend, she departed this life for a better place in the early morning of Sunday, September 9th 2012 at Franciscan St. James Health Chicago Height, Illinois. Roni was born and raised in Gary, Indiana but in recent years she resided in Park Forest, Illinois. She is a graduate of Gary Roosevelt High School Class of 1959 and furthered her education earning a doctorate degree. She retired as a Professor of Psychology at Davenport University in Merrillville, Indiana where she was well respected by colleagues' and students alike. Roni was a loving, God fearing person who professed Jesus as Lord of her life. She is survived by one son, Rodney Razor, Indianapolis, Indiana; one sister, Cynthia Davis, Albany, Georgia; three brothers, Leslie, Cornel and Jerry Ward of Gary, Indiana; four grandchildren Jermaine Razor of Evansville, Indiana, Rodney Razor Jr. of South Bend, Indiana, William and Jasmine Razor of Indianapolis, Indiana; long time constant companion, Jim Savage of Park Forest, Illinois and ex-husband, Richard Dunlap of Gary, Indiana and ex-husband, Bill Razor of Country Club Hills, Illinois; as well as host of devoted family, friends and people who loved and cared about her. Memorial Visitation will be held Sunday, October 14th, 2-4 p.m. at Lain-Sullivan Funeral Home 50 Westwood Dr., Park Forest, IL 60466.
