STEPHANIE JOY JOSE Stephanie Joy Jose, 19, OF Port St. Lucie, FL died Saturday, September 12, 2009 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born in Toms River, NJ and had been a resident of Port St. Lucie since 1995 coming from Terre Haute, IN. She was a pharmaceutical student at Indian River State College in Fort Pierce, FL. She was of the Catholic faith and loved reading, writing poetry and traveling to Europe. She was a student US Ambassador to Europe. Survivors include her parents, Julie and Felipe Jose of Port St. Lucie, FL; a sister, Jacqueline R. Jose of Port St. Lucie, FL; maternal grandmother, Magdalena A. Blanco of Vallejo, CA and her paternal grandmother, Violeta A. Jose of Manila, Philippines. Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM Friday, September 18 at Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie, FL. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday, September 19 at Aycock Funeral Home, Port St. Lucie. Burial will be in Fernhill Memorial Gardens, Stuart, FL. Steph and i went to school together. she was an amazing person, she helped me break out of my shy little shell. i will always remember her spunk and personality. she was always there when i need a friend to talk to or when i need advice on something. i am very thankful to have met such an incredible person, and she will always be remembered. my thought and prayers go out to the Jose family

what i remember most about steph is her spunk and individuality. we hadn't talked in awhile and i wish i could see her smile and hear her laugh one more time but God, in his infinite wisdom, has ordained that we only see each other again on the other side. i am reminded of my own mortality and that i must truly cherish every hour that God blesses me with. i can't begin to imagine your family's grief during this time but pray that as the days continue to pass that each day is a little less dark because that's how she would want it. Stephanie will be missed.

Stephanie was an amazing person and an awesome friend. After traveling for a month with her in Europe I learned she was an amazing person. She will be greatly missed! My thoughts are with the family. We'll miss you Steph.
