Family-Placed Funeral Notice

SUSAN BLINN STEEN 38, Of Lake Worth, FL passed away on May 9, 2005. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward and their children, Matthew, Jessica, Kyle, and Caitlyn. Her parents, Judy and Bill Blinn; brother, Chuck (Amy) Blinn; grandmothers, Lillian Blinn and Helene Einsteder; and several other aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive her. As a child and into young adulthood, Susan enjoyed cheerleading and track. Playing tennis and piano, swimming and skiing were among other activities she enjoyed. Recently Susan spent time volunteering at Panther Run Elementary School. Susan's family and children were her main priority. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Viewing hours will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2005 (TODAY) from 12-2 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 701 W. Palmetto Park Rd., Boca Raton. A Funeral Service will follow at 2 PM. Entombment at Boynton Beach Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan Steen Memorial Fund c/o Wachovia Bank. Hi Susan, a lot of time has gone by but I still think of you often. I pass your picture every day and I think of the last day I saw you in Walmart. You and Caitlyn were picking out a little flip couch for her. Matthew and James are doing great in Middle School, and I take Matthew home three times a week. Your son is still that smart, responsible, respectful boy that you raised, you'd be proud. I dont get to see Jessica, Kyle and Caitlyn very often since we changed schools. Matthew always gives me the updates on everyone. It sound like they are all doing great. Please keep looking down on all of us, because your one special angel. We are lucky to have you.

Hello Susan,
I never got the chance to meet you but have heard so much about you from the people closest to your heart. I am Kyle's Kindergarten teacher at Panther Run Elementary and I have to tell you what an honor it has been to have him in my class! I have gotten the chance to meet not only Kyle, but Caitlyn, Matthew (the president as our class call him) and Jessica. What an amazing job you have done with them. They are all so caring, responsible, and intelligent. I know you must be proud! You would be happy to know that your husband is our classes favorite volunteer! He really has a way with kids! Suz, I wanted to let you know that I miss you and think about you every day. I am trying my best to give the kids the love that you would have provided them however I struggle with it everyday. I just can't understand why this had to happen to such a wonderful woman.

It's hard to believe that one year has passed since you left us! I sat for a long time today just thinking about you and the things that have occured this past year. Some how I know you are never far from all of us, yet it's hard not to be able to see you or talk to you. Stay close to Eddie and the kids, this week is going to be especially hard on all of them. I only just found out this beautiful book existed. What a wonderful place it is! I miss you and think about you daily. I watch the four of you all the time and I want you to know how very proud your mommy is of you and what a great job your doing taking care of your daddy. Your mom is one of the most beautiful and special angel you could ever of asked for. Mommy is with you every second of everyday and she will always be with you for every step of the way. Susan - I can't even begin to tell you how many times I have tried to write in this book. Each time I would just delete what I wrote because it was just too hard to send. But it's time to let you know how much I miss you. How very proud you must be of the kids -- Matt and Jessica are doing wonderful in school, Kyle is such a little trooper with all he has been through and Caitlyn is blossoming into a little chatterbox! I know that you are with them every step of the way! I am trying to stay close with them and be there for them whenever they need me (just like I promised.) Spending time with them is like spending time with you! I really miss you!

Susan, you was such a "blessing" to have as a "Room Mom" when Matthew was in my 2nd grade classroom. Your smile, generosity, and uniqueness went a long way. I will always remember the times you came into my room to assist, even when I know that it was almost time for you to have your baby. You was such a dedicated person. Susan, Well Sophia's 5th Birthday just passed and I'll never forget that you gave Sophia her first Birthday party at Pierson Park with Matthew, Jessica, Kyle, James & Francesca. My kids still talk about you and all the special little art projects you used to do when they came to your house to play. I've always said your amazing! I think about you in the mornings at the gym, remember when we used to meet and thats when you told me you were pregnant with Caitlyn. A lot of great memories I will never forget.
