Theresa THOMAS Obituary
Theresa Thomas, July 6, 1964 - August 14, 2015, passed away peacefully with her devoted husband of 30 years, Mitchell Thomas, by her side. Theresa was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and aunt. She was everything to everyone. She was born in Wayne, NJ and was the 9th of 11 children of parents Bill & Rose Kearns, of Juno Beach, Florida. She graduated from Cardinal Newman High School, Class of '82. Theresa met, fell in love and married Mitchell where they settled in Lake Worth, FL and made a home with their 3 beloved children, Annie, Austin and Elizabeth. As a mother, she was completely selfless and gave us her unconditional love, guidance and support. She was our biggest fan. Her genuine compassion for others helped her thrive throughout her 16 year career with the Palm Beach County School District. Theresa enjoyed traveling, sunbathing by her pool and cooking in the kitchen with her family. She was always the life of the party and will always be the light of our lives. Theresa was preceded in death by her mother, Rose Marie Kearns; brothers Paul and Nicholas Kearns; brother- in- law, Mark Comstock; and nephews, William Kearns and Ray Irwin. She is survived by her loving husband, Mitchell Thomas; son, Austin Thomas; daughters, Annie (Russell) McClure and Elizabeth Thomas (Joshua Hardin); her beloved grandchildren, Ryder and Rose Marie McClure; her father, William P.; brothers, Bill, Frank (Ann), Joe, Jack, and Gerard Kearns; sisters, Rebecca (Robert) Martin, Kathleen (Randall) Irwin, Mariclaire Comstock; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015 at NORTHWOOD FUNERAL HOME, 5608 Broadway, West Palm Beach. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon Monday, August 17, 2015 at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 10970 Jack Nicklaus Dr. (A1A), North Palm Beach, with Rev. Arthur J. Venezia presiding. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to any foundation associated with providing care to those with special needs or to the Xaverian Missionary Fathers, 12 Helene Ct. Wayne, NJ 07470.

Sweet "Big" Theresa. I spoke with you last week and as usual, we laughed and joked. Today, you are gone.... I can't believe this has happened. The youngest daughter of this wonderful family. Your incredible deep and room filling laughter will no longer be heard, see your tiny little shoes pushed off as soon as you enter Mari's house, to feel your hugs, play with your hair. All things I took for granted. I told you last we talked, I loved you, you told me the same. I know God has you, but I'd prefer you to still be here with ALL of us. I have my special memories of you and you've given the world a gift of wonderful children. I gave them a hug for you yesterday. Get your wings sweet Theresa, I love you. Oh, I did share with Austin that I bet everyone up there is saying "boy, this new arrival is a loud one!" Xxoo
