Sandra Worthan Obituary

SANDRA LOU WORTHAN On September 14, 2025, you leapt into the arms of the Lord. Our beautiful, loving mother: Sandra Lou Worthan. She was born on September 9, 1947, to Loftin and Ida Gill. Sandy loved the Lord and her family. She married James in San Diego, where their daughter Jamie was born, who was with her at the time of her passing. They had the pleasure of living in many places. California, Washington, Colorado, Oregon, Puerto Rico, before settling down in Texas for the second time. Her final move was back to Colorado. She was one of a kind, she was a peacemaker, tender-hearted, forgiving beyond anyone, accepting, loving, with a great sense of humor, a problem solver, hard-working, and a fighter. Very intelligent, she was a walking encyclopedia of information. There was not much she didn't know, and if she didn't know something, she would investigate until she found a solution. She was very detail-oriented and could tell you anything you asked her about her children or grandchildren. Time, date, length, and circumference of their heads. She had a true gift of gab and was not afraid to recite bible verses. She was a good sister and an amazing woman who had a never-ending love for her family. Her hobbies included coffee, genealogy, sponsoring Find a Grave, and crocheting. Being a perfectionist, it took her 18 years to complete one blanket. She will be missed by so many. "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40-31" Sandy is survived by her 4 daughters: Tracy (Jeff) Schock, Deanna Strunk, Sheri (Osbaldo) Silva and Jamie (Darren) Rizzuto, 16 grandchildren: Rella, Rae, James, Julia, Loren, Skylar, Keri, Marissa, Jacob, Evelyn, Jr, Elexis, Kali, Camron(Zoe), Dominic and Layla, 18 great-grandchildren, sister: Susan, brother-in-law: Floyd Wolverton, nieces and nephews: Craig, Tavish, Amanda, Jeff, Keith, Terry, Heather Williamson, Lisa, Amy, Jerod, Tyler Householder, fur-legged daughter Pissy. She had a special bond with Loren, Keri, Camron, Dominic, and Layla. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loftin and Ida, and husband Ira James on March 21, 2023. Sisters and brother-in-laws Mary and Jerry Willamson, Phyllis and James Householder, brother Jerry Gill, niece Regina. In-laws Calvin and Ruby King. Brother-in-law Don Worthan Services are pending. Arrangements have been entrusted to Bellwood Ustick Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.bellwoodustick.com.
