William Pruette Obituary

William "Bill" Grant Pruette was born February 9, 1953 in Pocatello, Idaho to William and Clara Pruette. He passed away at age 67 on Thursday, July 30, 2020 in Indio, CA. He is preceded in death by his father William Harris Pruette, his grandson Riley David Sowell, and his sister Nancy Pruette.

Bill loved hunting, fishing, traveling, and horses. He was also a master mechanic. He started working on cars and equipment with his father as a boy. Bill moved to California at a young age and grew up in Blythe, California. He graduated from Palo Verde High School in 1971 and attended Palo Verde College. He worked as a supervisor at Demo Unlimited for 25 years. He started his own company, Cherokee Transport, in 2001. He had many ventures throughout his life. There wasn't anything he could not do. He was an old soul who believed that a hand shake and a person's word were binding. He displayed that type of integrity throughout his whole life. He was one-of-a-kind and will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Josie Pruette, of 15 years, and his children: Heather, Jared (Stacey), Hanna (Luis), and Jake, whom he shared with his former spouse Christine Pruette as well as his other children: Jr., Roman, Justin and Kike, whom he raised as his own with wife Josie, and his beloved grandchildren: Alexis, Darla, Kyleigh, Emily, Tristin, Isaac, Sophie, Matthew and Matix. He is also survived by his mother Clara, brother Robin, sisters Linda, Phyllis, Janet, April, and Claudia and many nieces and nephews.

Services for Bill Pruette will be at 10 a.m. Monday August 24, 2020 at Sacred Heart Church in Palm Desert followed by grave site services at the Coachella Valley Cemetery at noon.
